For the first time in the history of the state of Tennessee the Republican Party now holds a majority of both the State House and State Senate. The magnitude of the positive impact that this will have on the future of the state of Tennessee is tremendous. Pro-Business, Pro-Life, Pro-Family, and Pro-Second Amendment legislation will no longer be dead on arrival in the State House. None of which would be possible had the voters of the 2nd House District in Sullivan County not elected Tony Shipley. The Sullivan County Republican Party wishes to thank all who voted for Republican candidates for public office by an outstanding majority of the total vote.
